Sometimes he knew his wife just didn’t understand. She stayed home with kids who at least spoke the same language, kids growing wiser, kids who’d be appreciative someday, rewarding dreams with hope. And him? He had to cope with computers and their eternal, infernal obedience to every idiot’s ill-formed command.
